The Mexican law firm Bello, Gallardo, Bonequi y García, S.C. (“bgbg”) invites individuals interested in participating in the seventh bgbg Illustration Contest 2026, “Mexico, its celebrations, and traditions,” to follow these guidelines.
1.Purpose.
One of bgbg’s initiatives has been to encourage illustration contests, enabling anyone interested to display their artistic talents, with the possibility of featuring their artworks in our firm’s promotional notebooks.
The winners will be featured on the notebook covers, and inside, all notable artworks and details about their authors will be highlighted.
This time, we intend to choose the top 15 artistic works for digital and/or print use, mainly in our notebook and various promotional materials (notebooks, website, brochures, etc.), with the theme “Mexico, its celebrations, and traditions.”
It is important to note that in 2026, bgbg will celebrate its 25th anniversary, making this milestone another celebration for the illustration theme.
This contest is part of bgbg’s institutional initiatives to promote artistic talent and strengthen its corporate identity through organized, transparent practices that align with our ethical standards and regulatory compliance.
2. Theme.
The contest’s theme will be: “Mexico, its celebrations, and traditions,” including the 25th anniversary of bgbg.
The participating artworks can reflect Mexico’s cultural, historical, and natural richness, emphasizing how its roots connect with the modern world.
We aim to promote a vision of Mexico that honors its traditions and celebrations, highlighting how the country and its people contribute to and engage with the rest of the world.
Any Mexican celebration or tradition can be a subject for illustration, making the theme quite expansive, given the wide variety of cultures, traditions, and celebrations associated with them.
Similarly, as we have noted, bgbg will mark its 25th anniversary in 2026, so offering illustrations related to this celebration will also be a great way to promote the firm.
3. Contest.
• Registration.
Anyone who is interested needs to access the form and fill out the required fields to obtain their participation number, the participation format, and sign the agreement. The period for registering and submitting artworks starts on July 24, 2025, and ends on November 7, 2025.
Once the form is filled out, bgbg will send a confirmation email with the assigned reference number. The participant is responsible for ensuring the submitted information is accurate and for retaining the folio as an identifier through the entire process. Getting the folio is the initial step, without waiting for your artworks to be developed.
4. Artworks.
Participants may submit a maximum of 3 artworks related to the theme “Mexico, its celebrations and traditions.”
The artworks can be created using any chosen technique, such as digital, pastel, acrylic, engraving, photography, sculpture, etc., and they can be accompanied by a brief description of the artistic proposal and the creator’s profile. If desired, include contact information, social media profiles, and/or a link to an online portfolio.
The artworks may not be illustrations generated by Artificial Intelligence and the digital artworks must be original creation of its author exclusively; works made in co-authorship will not be accepted.
This is done in order to encourage individual creativity and to ensure that the works reflect the personal talent of each participant. Although contestants may be inspired by other artworks created with artificial intelligence during their creative process, it is clarified that no image or content generated by these means will be considered as an entry.
In the event that references from artificial intelligence are used as part of the inspiration process, it is the sole responsibility of the author to ensure that the instructions provided to such platforms do not result in the generation of content that infringes third party rights or involves unauthorized exploitation of protected works.
