    Maria Jose is a Junior Associate at BGBG, where she works in the Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT) practice group, providing legal support with a focus on legal research, regulatory analysis, drafting documents, dealing with government agencies, and legal consulting. Previously, she was part of the dispute resolution team at Baker McKenzie Mexico, where she gained experience in international litigation and arbitration.

    She holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the Universidad Panamericana. She supplemented her education with a certificate program in Cybersecurity, Technology, and Law offered jointly by New York University and the Universidad Panamericana. She also participated in an academic exchange program at McGill University and took part in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot in Austria.

    She has represented a civil society organization on several occasions at the United Nations in New York, within the framework of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW). This has further solidified her career and interest in the intersection of technology and cybersecurity, international law, and digital regulation.
