Julio has extensive experience in financial, securities, and corporate law, with more than 10 years advising domestic and international clients in the public and private sectors. His practice has focused on corporate and project financing transactions, capital markets, private equity, public tenders, and public-private partnership arrangements, in which he has been involved from the initial structuring through to the implementation and closing of the transactions.
Throughout his career, he has worked at law firms in Mexico City, where he advised development banks, commercial banks, real estate developers, and government agencies on complex financial and corporate matters. He later joined the legal department of one of the country’s leading retirement fund administrators (Afores), where he was involved in reviewing, negotiating, and monitoring investments made in public and private markets, both in Mexico and abroad, thereby strengthening his comprehensive understanding of the financial and regulatory sectors.
